Gordon Dallon Bush, II was born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dallon earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics with an emphasis on computer science and mathematics. During his college career, he was a President’s Award Scholar, and he became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
Mr. Bush earned a Juris Doctor degree and a Bachelor of Civil Law degree from Louisiana State University. During his time at LSU, Dallon was an active student who was elected to several leadership positions, including Chairman of the Moot Court Board and Parliamentarian for the LSU chapter of the Black Law Student Association (BLSA).
Mr. Bush practiced law at the law firm Percy & Percy in Ascension Parish, Louisiana and later became a named partner of Percy, Stromberg, Bush & Lanoux. Attorney Bush subsequently founded The Bush Law Firm, LLC and has practiced in the fields of criminal defense, personal injury, general civil litigation, mass torts, and commercial transactions. He is also a court-appointed Special Master.
In addition to his active private practice, Attorney Bush has been involved in public service throughout his career. He is currently the City Attorney for the City of St. Gabriel, Louisiana, and Mr. Bush was the lead attorney in the sales tax litigation, which resulted in an annual revenue increase of more than half a million dollars, as well as a lump sum recovery of sales and use tax revenues totaling over $2 million.
Mr. Bush is also a Founding Partner and Vice-President of Operations/Business Development for Mutombo Coffee, the namesake of Dikembe Mutombo (NBA Hall of Famer & Global Philanthropist), with the mission of supporting women owned African & Latin American coffee farms.
