Lance Unglesby
Attorney
Lance started his career as a public defender in New Orleans right after Hurricane Katrina. The office was decimated after Katrina, and at the time, the New Orleans police department was known for its corruption. The public defenders’ office was in dire need of top trial lawyers, and just as important, someone who was willing to bring awareness to and fight the corrupted system.

R. Seth Crompton, Sr. is a distinguished trial lawyer who specializes in complex civil cases across the United States. He has led numerous large-scale litigations, obtaining significant verdicts, settlements, and results on behalf of his clients.
Lewis Unglesby
Attorney
Lewis O. Unglesby was born in New Orleans, LA. He received his J.D. from Louisiana State University and was admitted to the bar of Louisiana, U.S. District Court, Middle, Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana, and U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Court of Appeals, 5th Circuit in 1974.
Jamie Gontarek
Attorney
Jamie is originally from Niceville, Florida. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Florida State University and went to Loyola University to pursue law. While at Loyola, Jamie had the honor of being a member of law review, moot court, and interning for Justice Knoll of the Louisiana Supreme Court. Jamie joined the Unglesby Law Firm in 2017.
Adrian Simm
Attorney
Adrian was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. He received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and went on to attend Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans. After being admitted to the Louisiana Bar, Adrian joined the Unglesby Law Firm in 2015.

We are regularly asked to enter in a case to serve as trial counsel, sometimes only weeks before trial. We are comfortable coming into a complex case in the late stages of the proceedings. We have experience handling entire trials with our team and integrating with co-counsel’s trial team. Our firm has a track record of obtaining large verdicts at trial for co-counsel and having those verdicts upheld on appeal.
Regarding our local counsel services, we have experience with the nuances of local trial practice and have served as local counsel in thousands of cases, including in single-event personal injury cases, class actions, commercial disputes, insurance disputes, and mass torts.
